Adopt-a-Pet Saturdays:

Every Saturday APL takes a selection of dogs and cats to various locations in Columbia and to make pets available for adoption. These events are usually from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are currently being held at the Animal Supply House in Irmo (1674 Lake Murray Blvd), the Animal Supply House in Lexington, and PetSmart in Lexington. To find out where we will be on a particular Saturday, please see our most recent newsletter.

APL staff and volunteers knowledgeable about the pets are present to answer questions and assist with the adoption process. An adoption fee is required to help cover the cost of spay/neuter and other health care the animals have received while at the shelter. The current fee is $100 for a cat and $150 for a dog. For additional information please call or e-mail the shelter at aplpets@bellsouth.net.

To see all the animals who are currently available for adoption, go to our Pet Adoption page.
