Annual Garage Sale: Each summer the APL sponsors a garage sale to raise money for the shelter. Thanks to all of you who helped make the 2007 sale a huge success. Be sure to check back next year for details about the 2008 sale.

Annual Auction: Each year APL sponsors an auction to raise money for the shelter -- to help care for abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats and find new, loving homes for them. Items for auction are donated by individuals and local merchants each year, and include a broad range of things, such as gift certificates, jewelry, art, furniture, consumer electronics, grills, trips, etc.

This year's auction will be held on August 23 at Tronco's new location called Medallion Conference Center located at 7315 Garner's Ferry Road (behind Holiday Inn Express). Tickets are $35.00 per person, $60.00 for couples, and tables for eight may be purchased for $250.00. The doors open at 6:00 p.m., the silent auction begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m., then the live auction will start at 8:30 p.m. The price of the ticket includes a buffet (including vegetarian dishes) and bar with beer, wine, and soft drinks.

To order advance tickets or tables, please call Judy Kinney at 788-2644 (w) or 782-5728 (h); or Ann Gandy at 252-0020; or Chappie Vardell at 767-3715. Corporate sponsors may call Donna Miranda at 447-8174.
