The Animal Protection League of SC (APL) is a local non-profit humane organization founded in 1982 by concerned individuals who love and respect animals. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for the community’s abused and abandoned dogs and cats and finding them permanent loving homes.

The APL animal shelter is open from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m Wednesday through Sunday.

Directions: From Columbia, go 11.5 miles on Leesburg Road (Hwy. 262). Turn right onto Harmon Road. Go approximately 300 feet and turn left onto Old Leesburg Road. The second driveway on the right leads to the APL shelter.
