APL is a non-profit, no kill, pet shelter founded in 1983 by a group of concerned citizens. It is funded entirely by private donations and volunteer fund raising activities. All funds go directly to alleviating the homeless pet problem.

Cats for Adoption

This is just a sampling of the cats available for adoption. For information about these or other cats, please call or e-mail the shelter.

Cora was a feral cat who has adapted to living with people wonderfully. Most who come in contact with her are surprised to learn that she was once wild. She is good with children, dogs, and most cats but would appreciate a home that is peaceful.

Erin was dumped at our front gate along with nine other cats and kittens. She was dirty and sick when we found her but she has since recovered and is ready for a caring and permanent home.

Faith is our oldest feline resident at seven years old. She is very loving and enjoys being with people. She was adopted once but was returned because her owner developed allergies. She misses having a home of her own.

Momma Cat is a four-year-old frost point Siamese mix. She loves to be petted and brushed. Momma is not well acquainted with children and probably be happier in a home with no children under age 13.

Tigger is a six-month-old brown tabby who is as sweet as he looks. He is a happy, playful baby. Tigger is generally good with children but, as with all kittens, would need to be introduced slowly to an active toddler or younger child.
